Even though I am currently in the middle of doing my thesis for an MA in Creative Writing, I am first and foremost a singer/songwriter. I have loved music and singing for as long as I can remember. My songwriting began a bit later at the age of seven when I discovered the black keys on the piano made a pretty tune all on their own-I called it 'Steps to Sunshine'! I have gigged somewhat in my town but really want to go beyond that. My absolute dream would be to write, record and produce (or co-produce as techy gadget things are sometimes my enemy!) an album, basically the way it sounds in my head! I'm a complete sound junkie; I'm always on the alert for new and interesting sounds either in the music I listen to (which varies a lot) or in the environment in which I live. Besides an album, I wouldn't mind trying my hand at writing a novel or collection of short stories. I also love drawing and would like to incorporate that into my my other areas of interest, such as an album or book cover. Ok so...I think that's enough already! xcx
